At PIXEL™, we know that the cost of post-secondary education can be exorbitant. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we do our very best to keep our programs affordable and accessible to as many aspiring creatives as possible. We want anyone who has a dream of working in the digital arts to be able to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to have a successful and rewarding career in the world of media arts. To that end, we look to our industry and community partners to help us achieve our goals of supplying the world of digital arts with committed, professionally trained, and fully prepared creatives.
Many of us were told upon graduation from high school that post-secondary education is an investment. Tuition, fees, room & board, supplies, books, transportation, clothing, food…all of these things add up and they add up very quickly year after year; but you’ll have a job waiting for you on the other side that will provide you with a salary sufficient to pay it all back. Many of us are now realizing that that’s just not the case. Economies fluctuate. Employers scale up and down with those fluctuating economies. Many of our prospectives know this; and many of them aren’t even considering a college education precisely because it’s turned out to be a high risk investment for so many.
Affordability is deliberately built into the infrastructure of PIXEL™’s programming. Our certificate program’s total cost is between $20K – $35K depending on a student’s goals. A nationwide, average, industry standard starting salary is approximately $40K/year. Graduates of our program get a world-class education at a rate that is affordable and that allows them to enter the workforce and contribute back to the economy immediately upon completion of our program.
